Felicita exceeded all our expectations - the location, the décor and layout and especially the rooftop terrace with its spectacular views of the hills and valleys ...barbecued several times making the fire from wood we collected from the forest, then of course watched the glorious sunsets...

A superbly relaxing and restful 2 weeks in an idyllic spot. The villa had everything one would wish for in a ‘home from home’. The views from the roof terrace were to die for. … the family vote to choose ‘Felicita’ was certainly justified as we’ve all had a fantastic two weeks.

The house is wonderful, very homely and very comfortable. It was everything we needed as a base to enjoy the area. We have  really enjoyed cooking here, especially the wild mushroom risotto from the Tuscan cookbook, which is now one of our favourite dishes!

Your home was just as it was described on the website and your directions perfect!  The views of the valley are beautiful. We spent several evenings on the terrace watching the sun set and the lights from the neighbouring towns come alive.

The week here has been a perfect end to our honeymoon...your house is so warm and inviting, as are the locals and most Italians we have come across. We are just trying to work out if we can manage another week next year!

The villagers invited us to have some salami, bread and wine with them one night which was particularly enjoyable. We had dinner one night at Gavarinis’ and it was delicious. What a great restaurant!  The views here are great!

What a place!  It was all the website said it would be and more, we had a wonderful Easter.  We hadn’t realised how important Easter is to the Italians and how well they celebrate it, with special food, we went to lovely restaurants on good Friday and Easter Sunday. We would like to return some day, but we think we could make a romantic time of it without the kids.

We had a wonderful time, we did absolutely nothing, sat around in the spring sunshine, the terrace views are superb. we had a couple of evenings in and lit the log fires, we ate brilliant food in some of your recommended restaurants, we watched the world go by from Bagnone and Pontremoli, as we sipped wonderful coffee and aperitivi. Our only complaint, it all went to quickly, back at work now, what a drag. Kind Regards

We have all agreed that our holiday this year was wonderful and we were all a bit blue this morning as we left your beautiful house to return home. Usually at the end of a 2-week holiday we are ready to go home, but this year we could have happily stayed longer. Felicita and its surroundings were so relaxing and welcoming that we arrived feeling worn and ragged but left feeling relaxed and recharged.

 Thank you for a wonderful holiday, the house and village so tranquil so relaxing just as it was last year, it’s great the way time seems to stand still in Italy. We managed to visit the places we missed last time, Pisa and the tower, and we did the walls of Lucca on push bikes, the children really enjoyed that.

Our stay at Felicita was delightful, so much so we invited a friend and my sister to join us! Couldn’t suggest any improvements. Felicita was well equipped and we didn’t want for anything - super relaxing, friendly locals and stunning scenery. Dinner on the Island is to be highly recommended; food was great and location superb – very very chilled!!

 We had a wonderful time and a perfect honeymoon.  We went to the church at Portovenere and it was amazing to walk into this small church to hear two pianists playing and the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks outside (the sea was a bit rough). The dinner at the restaurant was lovely. It was certainly very romantic. We had a table overlooking the water and it was lovely to see the lights turn on in the evening at Portovenere. The waiter was very attentive and we asked him to recommend the dishes for us which were all perfect. People were still arriving at 10.30 p.m. We would definitely go back there. We loved the restaurant Gavarini- their pasta was delicious (we went there 3 times) and Manuel Pizzeria (2 times). Felicita itself was lovely.

We all had a brilliant holiday. We really loved the area as there was so much to see and do, and we have a lot of wonderful memories. Unfortunately 2 weeks just isn't long enough.  I think some of our best memories are of sitting on the roof terrace eating and drinking watching the sunset behind the mountains across the valley.
